Walsh University, North Canton, Ohio invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Counselor Education to begin as soon as January 2019. The search will remain open until the position is filled.

Title:Assistant Professor          

Program:Counseling and Human Development, in the School of Health and Behavioral Sciences

Classification:full time salaried position based on a nine-month contract. Optional summer teaching loads will be negotiated as a separate contract.

Responsibilities: teaching 6 courses over 9-month contract year; participation in Counseling & Human Development Assessment (CHD); student development and advising programs; curriculum review and development; and other faculty assignments. Maintain active scholarship agenda and research plan. Maintain licenses and certifications appropriate to areas of clinical practice. Provide service to the university and to the profession of counseling.

Requirements: Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision (preferred) or CACREP – “grandfathered” Counselor Educator with related terminal degree. Applicant may also be enrolled in a Ph.D. Counselor Education & Supervision degree program. Must hold school counseling license in Ohio or be eligible for this license, with at least 2 years of school counseling experience; preference for LPCC-S license in Ohio or be license-eligible, with at least 2 years of licensed clinical practice experience in community mental health settings Graduate teaching experience preferred.

PSYCHOLOGY DEPARTMENT (SCHOOL COUNSELING POSITION)

The Psychology Department of Millersville (PA) University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position with specialization in school counseling beginning August 2019. Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, supervising graduate students in counseling courses, field activities and placements, advising students, scholarly work and department and university service. Requires a minimum of a master’s degree plus ABD in Counselor Education and Supervision (or closely related field) and eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania. Preference will be given to applicants who have earned Ph.D. or Ed.D. and/or have experience as aschoolcounselor.
