July 1 marked the start of the 2018-2019 PSCA year…and the start included some new leaders and a somewhat revised Region structure.

The officers are Michael Perrott, President; Beth Stem, Acting President Elect*; Lisa Maloney, Past President;;  Teresa Atkinson, Treasurer and Jen Kirk, Secretary

*As per PSCA Bylaws, in the event a vacancy occurs among the officers, the Executive Committee shall fill the vacancy by appointment. Said appointment shall be in effect until the next regular election of the Association. The recent passing of PSCA’s elected President Elect Christine Harmon required the Executive Committee to invoke the process. On Sunday, June 24th, the Executive Committee appointed Beth Stem as Acting President-Elect until the next regular PSCA election which will take place in November 2018. Beth has been a governing board member for five years and graciously accepted the appointment.

At the May 19, Governing Board Meeting a motion was made to increase the number of Regions from seven to eight; the action resulted in a slight reorganization of the Regions. The 2017-2018 Region Representatives are as follow:

Northwest (IUs 4, 5, 6, 28} Julie Kosker and Michelle Strasser

Southwest (IUs 1, 2, 3, 7, 27) Sima Misquitta and Colleen Tortorella

Central (IUs 8, 10, 11) Erin Rebling and an open seat created by Beth Stem’s movement to the Acting President Elect position

Northcentral (IUs 9, 16, 17) Regina Edgerton and Nina Muto

Southcentral (IUs 12, 13, 15) Adam Oldham and Stephen Sharp

Northeast (IUs 18, 19} Renee Berry and a pending appointment

Central East (IUs 14, 20, 21, 29) Stephanie Steigerwalt and a pending appointment
